Going to the beautiful country side of Taiwan.

Saturday, monkey goes to Doului.  Inside joke.  Here's another one, "Good thing I have a cold, or you're going to pass it to me!."

It used to be dad who stroll around rice fields here and holding frogs & bugs in his hands.

Ante grandma's birthday, all grand children are lining up to give cheers.  And many years more.  Cheers.
We are going to the country side where mom grew up.  Hualian, it's a beautiful country with lots of scenery & great local food.
We took photos just randomly down the road where there's a sea of flowers.  Rei Rei loved it.
Congrats ante Carina, there'll be a new addition to the family.Riding in the Taiwan railroad.  Do I smell food?

This is a old railroad train, it's there before dad & mom were here as kids.  They all had great memories riding in them.

Local black mini pig sniffing for food.
Best railroad bento, taste still great changing from its' original metal packaging.

Grandpa is 60 this year.

We celebrate early for grandpa's 60th since we don't see him often these days. Plus 60 is a big deal for Chinese culture. Shy of the attention, grandpa made it into a celebration of everyone's birthday.
Both grandpas really get their converse on and get their drinks on. We had to put a cap on it so they don't go overboard.
Something I don't get to eat........... yet.
Mom & dad for this gathering and something I don't get to drink until a longwhile. Lafite 94.
Cheers to all the tough work ahead on this trip.
Can't believe they ate something that is bigger than me....

Ante Michelle & uncle Marty also ate too much that night.
